Schemes
1. Development of Manpower in Bio Technology:

This scheme is aimed at the development of manpower and infrastructure related to biotechnology in the State. Emphasis is laid on the provision of short term biotechnology fellowships and conduct of seminars/popular lectures in biotechnology.

2. Science Talent Promotion Scheme:

This scheme is aimed at encouraging science talent in the State and creating a competitive scientific culture, under graduate and post graduate levels for the award of science talent promotion scholarships.





3. Technology Transfer:

Under this scheme introduction of appropriate technologies to reduce manual Hardships, low productivity and fatigue, demonstration of technologies for use in industry, rural development, agriculture, research and education etc. are being taken up.





4. Scheme of Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase/Fitting of Aids/Appliances (ADIP Scheme):

The main objective of the Scheme in to assist needy disabled persons in procuring durable, sophisticated and scientifically manufactured, modern, standard aids and appliances that can promote their physical, social and psychological rehabilitation, by reducing the effects of disabilities and enhance their economic potential. The aids and appliances supplied under the Scheme shall conform to BIS specification to the extent possible.

5. Scheme for minority women for establishing income generation units:

Women below poverty line having annual income of Rs. 54,000 or less for urban areas and Rs. 42,000 or less for rural areas (Concerned Tehsildar must attest income level).





6. Scheme for Physically and Mentally disabled women for establishing income generation units:

A Scheme to uplift the income and living standard of Physically and Mentally Challenged Women

7. Scheme for Women of Backward Classes:

This scheme is meant for the development of women belonging to backward classes as notified by Central/State Governments from time to time. The Corporation provides loan to the beneficiaries under this scheme at a very low rate of interest.

8. Scheme for Empowering Skilled Young Women - 2009:





The scheme aims at various welfare mesures for the socio-economic upliftment of women in the society

9. (fit for posting) Model Village Scheme:

To improve the quality of rural life.

10. Jammu and Kashmir Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (JKREGS).:

The primary objective of the Scheme is to provide livelihood security to households in rural areas of the 3 notified Districts by providing not less than 100 (one hundred) days of guaranteed wage employment in every financial year to every household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled and manual work.

11. Sampooran Gramin Rozgar Yojna(SGRY):

The scheme has following objectives:-

1. To provide additional wage employment in rural areas

2. To provide food security.





3. To create durable community, social and economic infrastructure in rural areas.

4. Special emphasis to provide Wage Employment to :-

a. Women

b. Scheduled caste

c. Scheduled Tribes.

d. Parents of children withdrawn from hazardous occupations.

12. Indira Awas Yojna(IAY):

The scheme is designed to provide shelter to house-less people living in rural areas with special thrust on schedule caste, schedule tribe communities, free bounded labourers and non-SC/ST families, living below poverty line.

13. National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme:

The Scheme provides a guarantee for rural employment to house holds whose adult members volunteer to do un-skilled manual work not less than 100 days of such work in a financial year in accordance with the scheme

14. Swranjayanti Gram Swarozgar Yojana (SGSY):





The objective of the scheme is to bring the assisted poor families above the poverty line by organizing them into Self-Help Groups (SHGs) through the process of social mobilization, training, capacity building and provision of income generating assets through a mix of bank credit and Government subsidy.

15. Prime Minister Special Package:

Under the Scheme, certain activities like construction of Community Information Centers, Food Godowns, Panchayat Ghars and school buildings etc. had to be undertaken.

16. Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yogna (PMGSY):

To provide all weather road connectivity to unconnected habitations across the country across the country in a phased manner

17. Integrated Watershed Development Programme:

The Scheme has following objectives:
1. Harvesting every drop of rainwater for purposes of irrigation, plantations including horticulture and floriculture, pasture development, fisheries etc., to create sustainable sources of income for the village community as well as for drinking water supplies.
2. Ensuring overall development of rural areas through the Gram Panchayats and creating regular sources of income for the Panchayats from rainwater harvesting and management.
3.Employment generation, poverty alleviation, community empowerment and development of human and other economic resources of the rural areas.

18. Self Employment Scheme for Ex-Servicemen:

The scheme is promoted with the assistance of NABARD for ex-servicemen in order to provide finance for setting up of village, cottage, tiny and small scale industries. The scheme SEMFEX-II has two sub-schemes (1) Farm Sector and (2) Non-farm Sector.





19. Self-Employment Scheme for Ex-Servicemen:

The aim of SEMFEX-1 scheme is to encourage and assist eligible ex-Servicemen to take up self-employment service, ventures in tiny, small scale industry, small scale service and business [industry related] enterprises. Under the scheme, training in entrepreneurship is also provided to them facilitating success of the projects.

20. State Self Employment Scheme:

Candidates are encouraged to start their own Employment Generating Units under Self Employment Schemes.

21. Financing Schemes for Economic Upliftment of Weaker Sections:

The J&K SC,ST and BC Development Corporation undertakes a wide range of activities for socio-economic upliftment of the weaker section of the society belonging to scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes,Backward Classes,Scavengers and Minorities.

23. Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme:

To generate employment opportunities in rural as well as urban areas of the country through setting up of new self-employment ventures/projects/micro enterprises.

24. Integrated Infrastructural Development (IID) Scheme:

It provides developed sites with basic infrastructural facilities like power, water, telecommunication, drainage, roads, common facilities, etc.


25. Company Law Settlement (Jammu and Kashmir) Scheme,2003:

The Central Government has decided to make a Scheme namely, the Company Law Settlement (Jammu and Kashmir) Scheme, 2003 for granting immunity from prosecution and compounding the period of delay involving in filing certain documents under the Companies Act, 1956 ( 1 of 1956) to companies in the state of Jammu and Kashmir






26. Swarana Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana:

The Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rozgar Yojana shall rest on a foundation of community empowerment. Rather than relying on the traditional method of top down implementation, this programme shall rely on establishing and promoting community organisations and structures to provide supporting and facilitating mechanism for local development.


27. Central Comprehensive Insurance Scheme,2002:

The Government of India is pleased to make the following Scheme of Comprehensive Insurance for Industrial Units for the state of Jammu & Kashmir with a view to accelerating industrial development in the state.

28. State Sponsored Scheme for Handloom Industry:

In order to promote the sale of handloom products, the Department sponsors handloom societies from the state for participation in the special handloom Expose and State Level fairs organized by the Development Commissioner for Handlooms, Government of India

29. Rajiv Awas Yojana:

Bringing existing slums within the formal system and enabling them to avail of the same level of basic amenities as the rest of the town.

30. Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA):

SSA is an attempt to provide human capabilities to all children through provision of community owned quality education as a Mission Mode Project. 





31. Craftsman Training Scheme:

The Craftsman Training Scheme (CTS) was introduced by the Government of India in 1950 to ensure a steady flow of skilled workers in different trades for the domestic industry, to raise quantitatively and qualitatively the industrial production by systematic training, to reduce unemployment among the educated youth by providing them employable training, to cultivate and nurture a technical/ industrial attitude in the minds of the younger generation. The Scheme, shaping the skilled manpower for the country, was transferred to the State Governments from the year 1956 and the same was introduced in the State in the year 1958 by the establishment of two Industrial Training Institutes (ITI's) at Srinagar and Jammu.

32. The National Service Scheme:

The National Service Scheme is a movement, a method and a programme to effectively involve teachers and students in making education socially relevant and using the system to transform society.

33. Apprenticeship Scheme:

In order to provide on the job training to semi skilled workers and an opportunity to various kinds of workers to diversify their skills, it has been made obligatory for industries to engage apprentices.

34. Continuing Education Scheme:

Continuing Education Scheme at Kashmir at Government Polytechnic. Under the World Bank Tech Ed-III Project a Continuing Education cell has been formed to promote informal education in technical fields. The Cell is aimed at imparting need based customized, continuing education programs both of long term & short term duration. The need and scope of continuing education is increasing day by day with fast technological developments across the globe and improved quality of life. These Technological changes have necessitated constant skill up gradations of already working personal at shop floor.

35. Scheme for Persons with Disabilities:

To impart technical and vocational education to persons with disabilities so that they can get gainful wage/self employment.

36. Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojna:

The objective of the scheme is correcting the imbalances in availability of affordable/reliable tertiary level healthcare in the country in general and to augment facilities for quality medical education in the under-served States.

37. Janani Suraksha Yojna(JSY):

This Scheme is used for the benefit of delivery of mother who is poor and lives below Poverty Line (BPL)

38. National Rural Health mission:

The National Common Minimum Programme spells out the commitment of the Government to enhance Budgetary Outlays for Public Health and to improve the capacity of the health system to absorb the increased outlay so as to bring all round improvement in public health services.

39. Talent Search-cum-Innovation Award Scheme:

To help Jammu and Kashmir to become an innovative and creative society by scouting, spawning and sustaining unaided grass roots level technological innovations etc.

40. Self Help Group Scheme:

As an alternative to government jobs, for unemployed engineers (Degree/Diploma), the State Govt. launched a novel scheme during the year 2003 for providing gainful sources of employment by allotting work contracts to these unemployed engineers in various engineering/developmental related departments of the State.





41. Swantrata Sainik Samman Pension Scheme:

A Central Scheme for the grant of Pension to freedom fighters and their eligible dependents was introduced by the Government of India

42. Central Interest Subsidy Scheme, 2002:

The Government of India is pleased to make the following scheme of Interest Subsidy on Working Capital Loans for Industrial units in the state of Jammu & Kashmir with a view to accelerating the industrial development in the state. 43. Capital Investment Subsidy Scheme:

The Government of India is pleased to make the following scheme of Central Grant or Subsidy for Industrial units in the Jammu & Kashmir with a view to accelerating the industrial development in the State.

44. Transport Subsidy Scheme:

A transport subsidy will be given to the industrial units located in the selected areas in respect of raw materials which are brought into and finished goods which are taken out of such areas.

 45. Venture Capital Fund Scheme of NABARD for Poultry and Dairy Sectors:

The Scheme seeks development of poultry and dairy sectors through individuals and groups and would be financed through cooperative/ commercial and rural banks.

46. AnnaPurna Scheme:

The Annapurna Scheme aims at providing food security to meet the requirement of those Senior Citizens who though eligible have remained uncovered under the National Old Age Pension Scheme {NOAPS} under the Scheme 10 kgs of food grains per month are to be provided free of cost to the beneficiary.

47. Antoyodya Anna Yojna (AAY) Scheme:





This scheme reflects the commitment of the Government Of India to ensure food security for all, create a hunger free India in the next five years and to reform and improve the public distribution system so as to serve the poorest of the poor in rural and urban areas. Under this Scheme families (poorest of poor amongst the BPL families) have been identified who are being provided food grains at much more subsidized rates at a uniform scale.

48. Poultry Development Programmes:

The objectives of the scheme are:
i)Production of quality day old chicks at the project for sale to poultry farmers.
ii)Supply of chicks to various poultry organizations in the Kashmir Division for further distribution among the progressive farmers after attaining the age of 2-3 months.
iii)Providing necessary inputs and training to the progressive farmers for setting up of broiler units and, Providing marketing support to the poultry farmers for sale of poultry birds.

49. Animal Disease Investigation Programme:

The main feature of this scheme is to carry out the basic disease investigation and diagnostic work

50. Equine/Yak/Camel Development Programme:

This Scheme is used in preserving these rare species of animals which otherwise are heading for extinction especially the double-humped camel,yak and Equine in Nobra Valley and Zanskari horse in Zanskar.

51. Technology Mission for Post Harvest Management, Marketing and Exports:





The scheme is used for creation of infrastructure facilities for Post-Harvest Management, Marketing and Exports of agricultural commodities

52. Agriculture Export Zones:

The Scheme envisages integrated development of Horticulture through capacity enhancement, investment in post harvest infrastructure and value addition by promoting the processing Industries besides promoting exports of apple & walnuts

55. Indira Gandhi National Widow Pension Scheme:

The pension is given to the widows aged between 45 and 64 years of age. The applicant should be a household below the Poverty Line as per criteria prescribed by the Government of India. The pension amount is Rs. 200 per month per beneficiary and the concerned state government is also urged to provide the equal amount to the person. The pension is to be credited into a post office or public sector bank account of the beneficiary. The pension will be discontinued if there is the case of remarriage or once the widow moves above the poverty line.

56. Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme:

The Indira Gandhi National Disability Pension Scheme is provided to differently abled persons in the age group of 18 to 64 years, belonging to a household of Below Poverty Line category with severe or multiple disability as defined in ‘Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995 (PWD Act 1995)’ and the ‘National Trust for the Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities Act, 1999 (National Trust Act 1999)’. The Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India provides a sum of Rs. 200/- per month. In addition to this the State Government too grants an amount of Rs. 400/- per month, thus a beneficiary receives an amount of Rs. 600/- per month.





57. Indira Gandhi National Old Age Scheme:

Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme is a national Old Age Pension Scheme in India.[1] It was launched by Ministry of Rural Development. All persons of 60 years (and above) and belonging to below the poverty line are eligible for the scheme. The pension amount is INR 500 per month to per person

58. Mahatma Gandhi Bunkar Yogna:

The basic objective of the ‘Mahatama Gandhi Bunkar Bima Yojana’ is to provide enhanced insurance cover to the handloom weavers in the case of natural as well as accidental death and in cases of total or partial disability.
