New wonders
On July 7 2007 , the new seven wonders of the word were announced in Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. They included are as under:-
1. Taj Mahal (India)
2. Roman Colosseum Italy
3. Para made of chichen Itza Mexico
4. Machu Picchu Peru
5. C h r i s t The Redeemer Brazil
6. Petra Jordan
7. Great Wall of China
The above 7 sides work chosen from a list of 21 sides in the world wide poll conducted by the new Seven Wonders Foundation, a non-profit organisation. The campaign to name new wonders was launched in 1999 by the Swiss adventurer Bernard Weber.
