General Science Chapter 2 Mock Test – Motion and Laws of Motion

KYASC INSTITUTE

General Science Mock Test – Chapter 2

Motion and Laws of Motion

Motion is one of the fundamental concepts of physics. It describes the change in position of an object with respect to time. When an object moves from one place to another, it is said to be in motion.

Several important physical quantities are used to describe motion, such as distance, displacement, speed, velocity and acceleration. Speed describes how fast an object moves, while velocity also includes the direction of motion.

The laws of motion were formulated by the famous scientist Sir Isaac Newton. Newton's three laws of motion explain the relationship between force and motion and help us understand how objects move under the influence of forces.

These laws are widely applied in everyday life such as vehicles moving on roads, rockets launching into space and sports activities. Questions from motion and Newton's laws are frequently asked in competitive examinations like UPSC, SSC, CDS, Railway and various government recruitment exams.
