 The eligibility criteria and exam pattern for the SSC (Staff Selection Commission) Constable recruitment exam:

Eligibility Criteria:

  1. Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India.
  2. Age Limit: The age limit for SSC Constable recruitment varies depending on the specific category. However, generally, candidates must be between 18 to 23 years old. Age relaxation is applicable for reserved categories as per government rules.
  3. Educational Qualification: Candidates should have passed 10th or equivalent examination from a recognized board.

Exam Pattern: The exam pattern for SSC Constable recruitment typically consists of three stages:

  1. Computer-Based Examination (CBE):

    • The CBE consists of multiple-choice questions.
    • Subjects usually include General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Knowledge & General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and English/ Hindi.
    • The total number of questions, duration, and marking scheme may vary from year to year.
  2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

    • Candidates who qualify the CBE are called for the PET.
    • PET includes physical tasks like running, long jump, high jump, etc.

  3. Medical Examination:

    • Candidates who clear the PET undergo a medical examination to ensure they are fit for the job.
