More than 57,000 plus students have registered on the Delhi University admission portal within 24 hours after it went live at 5 pm on Saturday. On June 20, 2020, the University of Delhi has started its online admission process for undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD courses and will remain open until July 4. 

As per the data shared by a varsity official with a media house, 57,312 candidates have registered on the University of Delhi online portal for DU admission 2020 to undergraduate courses, while 18,837 students registered for postgraduate courses and 2,071 registered for PhD admissions till 5.30 pm on Sunday.

In order to clear doubts of students on the admission process, the varsity will be conducting the webinar on June 23. This year, the varsity is doing all the processes right from the registration to verification of documents online and contactless.

According to figures shared by the varsity, 5,889 registrations for postgraduate courses, 457 registrations for PhD courses and 19,543 registrations for undergraduate courses, had taken place within four hours of the portal going live on Saturday.

Delhi University (DU) has also decided not to hold trials for UG admission through sports and ECA (extracurricular activity) categories for DU Admissions 2020. It further confirmed that the admissions would depend on certificates instead.
