Everyone dreams of becoming an IAS-IPS or officer by passing the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination, but few can fulfill their dreams. Let us know that only those who pass a tough exam like UPSC are able to become bureaucrats of the country. Selection is done in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) or Indian Police Service (IPS) only on the basis of the ranking obtained in the UPSC examination. Age Range-

The minimum age has been fixed at 21 years and maximum age is 32 years. Age relaxation of 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC / ST candidates.
the nationality-
Only Indian citizens can apply for the Union Public Service Commission examination.

Pattern

1.The Civil Services Examination is conducted in two stages.

2. The Civil Services Preliminary Examination is objective type.

3. The Civil Services main examination is written and interviewed. (This examination is only for those applicants who pass the Civil Services Preliminary Examination.)

Academic ability or Qualification:-


The candidate should have a bachelor's degree in any stream from a UGC recognized university or institute.

How to apply-

Applicant can apply online using the website http://www.upsconline.nic.in.

Selection Process:

Candidates are selected in the following ways-

1. Prelims exam

2. Main exam 

3. The interview

How many times can you try according to the category?

General category candidates can attempt 6 times.

OBC category candidates can attempt 9 times.


And there is no limit for SC / ST candidates.
