Samba, August 24, 2025: District Magistrate Samba, Ms. Ayushi Sudan (IAS), conducted an extensive tour of rain-affected areas including Bedheri, Manohar Gopala, Mananu, and Chak Manga to assess the ground situation caused by incessant rainfall.
The DC interacted with residents, assured full support, and directed officials of Revenue, PWD, PHE, Power, and Rural Development Departments to immediately assess damage and restore essential services.
She also visited the Community Hall, Samba, where displaced families have been sheltered, and reviewed relief measures including food, water, medical aid, and sanitation. On-the-spot directions were issued to ensure timely assistance.
Emphasizing disaster preparedness, Ms. Sudan said that response should focus not only on immediate relief but also on long-term resilience, while directing officials to maintain vigilance on vulnerable areas and ensure wide dissemination of public advisories.
